i started this in 2018.  my friend billy encouraged me to sell my rope belts.  at first i resisted but then 
as i accepted that madbury club was ending forever, i had to come up with something that would sustain me 
until i figured out what to do next with my life.  if you know madbury club, than you know how unique that 
was and going back to a "normal" job would be a huge bummer.  so i figured i would give it a shot and
to launch my own business (again).  i was fortunate that all the guys in tmc supported me during those early
days and I am forever grateful for all their help.  but also, i have to give the hugest shout out to my 
friend briana king whose support in those early days is likely the only reason I am still here.  

so, I made some prototype belts and companions, took some pics and posted them to my ig.  crazy, people liked
them and wanted to buy them so I started taking orders through my dm's on instagram.  Soon after that, 
i built my website and here I am today.  

i do not want to scale my business up or have employees.  i like small business and i like knowing my 
customers and having convos with them and I know they appreciate that i reply and spend time helping them.  
Instead of worrying about making more and more money and more and more product, I prefer to make what I make 
and invent new stuff when the urge hits me.  In my opinion this is more emotionally and creatively 
sustainable than the current culture of endless more and more and more.  

I try to live a simple life and to focus on gratitude, love, kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness.  
I do that successfully about 50% of time and the other 50% i am cranky as fuck!  haha.  

PROCESS: 
I build, pack & ship each order myself from my apartment in Jersey City, NJ.     

MATERIALS: 
i like TO USE climbing grade OR MIL-SPEC materials WHENEVER POSSIBLE. 
certain items like the nite-ize s-biners, split rings and STUFF LIKE THAT are not
